Each piece of LAVA GIRL SURF jewelry is handmade and  will wear well over time if properly cared for.  To extend longevity of all jewelry avoid unnecessary exposure with water (salt or fresh), excessive perspiration, and chemicals such as perfume, detergent, lotion, and cleaning agents.

All Sterling Silver and 24k Gold plated pieces will naturally patina over time from exposure to moisture, chemicals and oils in the skin. Some may enjoy this patina but to prevent tarnishing store in an airtight container and clean with a polishing cloth or jewelry cleaner to restore a bright finish.

All plated pieces will gradually wear over time as well depending upon care and contact with chemicals or moisture. We use the highest quality nickel free plating available for all of our jewelry . Do not clean plated pieces with chemicals.  To care for plated pieces gently wipe with a soft cloth to remove any excess skin oil or makeup and store in an airtight container. Exposing plated jewelry to prolonged periods of water will cause the plating to disintegrate, peel off, and or lose its finish. We are happy to re-plate pieces for the small plating fee so please, feel free to contact us regarding this option.

Because all of our jewelry is handcrafted please note that there may be slight variances between pieces due to the handmade nature of the product.
